CHHATTISGARH: One died on the spot and two were seriously injured as a speeding truck rammed into shops and parked vehicles at the main market in Tilda on Sunday.
The incident took place at Deendayal Chowk- a prominent heavily crowded market at the intersection of the highways according to sources has always reported horrific accidents. Eye witnesses in the accident have revealed to have approached the administration several times but have received no response yet.
Confirming the death, Sudarshan Dhruv, in-charge of Tilda police station said the accident took place because of the truck driver’ rash driving. ” The deceased is yet to be identified. And a lookout has been issued for the absconding truck driver. ” “The dead body has been sent for post mortem while the injured were immediately rushed to the local hospital”, he added.
Several shops are said to have been damaged. Shop owners are yet to determine the loss endured.
