Chhattisgarh: It is reported that the son of Commander Ramanna, Maoist leader and platoon commander Ravula Ranjith surrendered in Hyderabad on Wednesday. DGP Telangana, Mahendra Reddy in a press conference confirmed the surrender. At present, Ravula Ranjith a.k.a Srikanth serves as the forest battalion committee chief.
Ranjith lost his father two years ago due to various health issues. Following which Ranjith also endured health issues. Ranjith was born in Bekal village of Mugdur Mandal of Siddipet district.
In another conversation surfaced, Naxal Commander Vinod has reportedly succumbed to the virus. Sunil Dutt, SP Kathgodam, Telangana and Sunil Sharma, SP Sukma confirmed the death.
It is reported that Vinod was responsible for the Naxal attack at Jhiram Ghati. He died in the jungles of the Sukma-Bijapur border. He was titled as the mastermind for planning the attacks against congress leaders in 2013 which killed nearly 29 people. The Chhattisgarh government had announced a prize of Rs 25 lakh to sources who informed the whereabouts of Vinod.
Coronavirus seems to be spreading by leaps and bounds into the Maoists community. Sources claim that several Naxals have succumbed to the virus in Chhattisgarh. As per the data revealed, nearly 100 Naxals are suspected to have lost lives due to the virus.
