Bijapur: A soldier from the Cobra 206 Battalion was injured when he was hit by a pressure IED (improvised explosive device) planted by Naxalites in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred in the Usur police station area when the Pujari Kanker FOB team was conducting an area domination operation.

The injured soldier was immediately given first aid and was transferred by helicopter to a higher medical center in Raipur for better treatment. Bijapur Superintendent of Police Dr. Jitendra Yadav confirmed that the soldier’s condition is stable and he is out of danger.

Earlier in January, two commandos of CRPF’s CoBRA unit were injured when a pressure improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Naxalites went off in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.
