Raipur: The Complex Angioplasty and CTO (Chronic Total Occlusion) Workshop that took place in Shri Narayana Hospital in Devendra Nagar, the capital city, concluded successfully. Several other eminent heart specialists from the city, including Dr. Manoj Gupta, Senior cardiologist at Shri Narayana Hospital, and renowned cardiologist Dr. Ganan Raj from Chennai, were present on the occasion.
During the workshop, 7–8 critical heart patients with severe complications in their angiography that would make conventional angioplasty or bypass surgery impossible were given advanced treatment. They are CTO patients, patients having a completely blocked coronary artery for a long period of time. In doing so, cutting-edge medical technologies, including IVUS, IVL, and Rotablation, were used to perform successful angioplasty procedures for these complex cases.
All the patients are recovering well and are to be discharged in stable condition two to three days from now thanks to these advanced techniques. The patients and their families are relieved and happy that this workshop has been such a success.
The entire cardiology team of Shri Narayana Hospital was credited by Dr. Sunil Khemka, Managing Director of Shri Narayana Hospital, for the workshop’s success. According to him, the hospital is still devoted to offering medical treatment that’s considered state-of-the-art for critically ill heart patients to help them recover as soon as possible with the latest developments in cardiology. According to him, such initiatives will continue to improve the quality of cardiac care in the region even more and make life-saving procedures available.
Shri Narayana Hospital adheres to the chord of innovation and excellence in heart treatments, and it reaffirms the success of this workshop, providing hope to patients suffering from complex heart diseases.
