Dhamtari: A horrific accident of road accident happened in the district in the Kurud police station area on National Highway 30 near the village of Dandesara. According to the reports, there was a high-speed Scorpio SUV that rammed from behind a tractor at a high speed with such force that it killed a retired principal on the spot, while the driver of the SUV was critically injured.
The deceased has been recognized as Mohanlal Ratre, a retired principal, who was in the Scorpio when the incident happened. The collision was so severe that the Scorpio SUV had ended up being totally mangled and its parts littered on the road. The impact also inflicted maximum damage on the tractor-trolley, compacting its rear tire and other parts, displacing it by close to 10-15 feet away from the collision point.
The driver of the Scorpio, Gulshan Ratre, was severely injured and trapped inside the debris of the smashed car for hours before the rescue work by the locals.
