Raipur: Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel interacted with students that returned from the war-hit nation on the evacuation flights scheduled under operation Ganga and Vande Bharat Mission.

Taking to his Twitter account, Baghel appreciated the courage of the students in tough times and also announced to reimburse the travel expenses born by the students to return to India.

Earlier on Saturday, NACHA, the North American Chhattisgarh Association in an initiative to help stranded Chhattisgarh contacted those stranded and created a group of 150 students and handed over the details of the same to the Nodal officer, stationed at Chhattisgarh Bhawan in New Delhi.

So far, 400 Indians have been lifted from the neighbouring nations of the war-hit country. Some 20,000 Indians have been reported to stay in Ukraine, the majority of them being students pursuing MBBS.
