Raipur: Noisy scenes were witnessed in the Chhattisgarh Assembly today as BJP accused the ruling Congress government of ready-to-eat meals on Friday. BJP MLAs reached the MLA house and started raising slogans. The Speaker suspended all the 13 BJP MLAs for 5 minutes. The opposition said that thousands of women preparing ready-to-eat meals got work through women’s self-help groups. Their employment will be snatched away by the government’s decision to put them in private hands.

Therefore, there was a commotion in the House due to the protest. BJP demanded a discussion on the matter by giving an adjournment motion. BJP MLA Shivratan Sharma stated this government’s decision will affect 30,000 women for which they are worried about employment. At the same time, Ajay Chandrakar informed that the Congress manifesto had said that women self-help group’s loans would be waived. He questioned whether it is right to deprive women of employment?

After which, the issue of rights of Parliamentary Secretaries arose in the House, BJP MLA raised the matter during Zero Hour, the opposition objected to putting the photo in the report of the Assembly, BJP MLAs also created a ruckus regarding it. Ajay Chandrakar called it wrong. After this, Minister Mohammad Akbar said in his reply said that Parliamentary Secretaries are there to assist the ministers, what is the objection if the photo is printed, where is it written that the photo cannot be printed following which the Speaker of the Assembly rejected the objection.

After some time, the issue of shortage of fertilizers to the farmers also arose. BJP MLA Shivratan Sharma asked a question related to this arrangement. He said that there is a problem with non-standard fertilizers and visible shortage of urea. The opposition also brought an adjournment motion on it, Brijmohan Agarwal supported the adjournment. The Leader of Opposition accused the Congress government of exploiting the farmers; the opposition has demanded a discussion on the adjournment motion.
