Raipur is geared up yet again to witness the cricketing skills of legend and veteran international cricketers under Road Safety World Series T- 20 cricket tournament to be held from September 10th to October 1st.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar will lead defending champions India Legends in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series (RSWS), officials said.

The tournament opener will be held in Kanpur while Raipur will host the two semifinals and the final, which will be held on October 1. Other venues include Indore and Dehradun, according to a media release.

In Raipur, the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Cricket Stadium has been selected by the organizers as the venue for the semis and finale.

Veterans Harbhajan, Irfan Pathan, Yuvraj Singh, Sehwag would also feature their sport in the second edition of the RSWS along with Sachin Tendulkar. The 22 day event this year sees New Zealand as the new entrants.

The initiative aims to drive social change in the country and change people’s outlook towards road safety. As cricket is the most followed sport in the country and cricketers are looked upon as idols by many, the League will work as an ideal platform to influence and change people’s mind set towards their behaviour on the roads.
