JASHPUR: A reward carrying Naxal and his associate was arrested in Sanna in Jashpur, CG an official said. As per reports, the Naxal was declared a county of Rs 1 lakh. The arrests were sought based on a tip off the police recieved about his whereabouts.
The arrested Naxals have been identified as Ramchandra Yadav and his associate Jagdish Yadav. A 12 bore gun and a sword were seized from the possession of the Naxals, the official added.
The accused have been wanted in connection with lighting a Poklen and trucks at Hindalco mines operated in Rajendrapur under Samaripath police station area of the district in 2017. A case was registered against the accused and his associates and since then an intelligence team have been looking out them. Beside, various cases of arson and loot were registered against Ramchandra in Mahuadand police station of Latehar district of Chhattisgarh neighbouring state Jharkhand were also filed against them.
