Blood donation Amrit Mahotsav 2.0: A worldwide mega blood donation camp will be organized on September 17 by the All India Terapanth Yuvak Parishad. More than 7500 camps will be organized in more than 50 countries, along with cities across the country. Under the Blood Donation Amrit Mahotsav 2.0, blood donation camps will also be organized in all the districts of Chhattisgarh, in which a large number of people will donate blood.
Mega Blood Donation Drive (MBDD) project is a sub-wing of Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad (ABTYP) that pledges to serve the country through community services. The Mega blood donation camp exists to make India blood sufficient. Our country is currently deficient in about 2 million blood units. The ongoing pandemic and the vaccination have blown this deficiency to further lower levels. With our continuous efforts, we were able to get ourselves featured in the prestigious Guinness World Records (2014) to organize the highest Blood Donation at multiple locations and collect 100212 blood units in a single day.
17th September is the foundation day of All India Terapanth Yuvak Parishad. On this occasion, in 2022 also, blood donation camps were organized in many cities, in which 5600 units of blood were collected. This blood was delivered to the needy and they were helped. Terapanth Yuvak Parishad has appealed to make the camp successful by donating blood in maximum numbers.
Governor Om Prakash Mathur in Sikkim, Governor Gulabchand Kataria in Punjab released the poster of Blood Donation Amrit Mahotsav 2.0. Health Minister Shyambihari Jaiswal released the banner in Chhattisgarh.
More than 10 lakh units of blood have been collected in the mega blood donation camp organized by the All India Terapanth Yuvak Parishad in the last 10 years. This time there are preparations to create another record. The council officials said that this event will be organized with the aim of meeting the shortage of blood at the global level, making the youth aware of blood donation and serving humanity.
