Raipur: Preparations for the upcoming Republic Day (January 26) are in full swing in Chhattisgarh. In view of the norms released by the state government, there will be no cultural event to mark the Republic Day for this year.
Instead, the celebrations will be centered into a special tribute to the frontline workers who are paying tireless effort to fight the pandemic. The corona warriors include doctors, nurses, health workers, police personnel, and all other frontline workers.
During the celebration, all the COVID-19 norms will be strictly followed. Unlike every year, school students are not going to be invited at the celebrations. On the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day, all the official as well as public houses, memorials of national importance will be lit up. Along with that, the national flag will be hoisted in all the public houses.
According to the instructions released by the Department of General Administration, Chhattisgarh, the state level ceremony to mark the 72nd Republic Day will be held at the capital, where the national flag will be hoisted by the governor Anusuiya Uikey.
After the flag hoisting, a Guard of Honor will be presented by the Chhattisgarh Police and the Paramilitary Forces, followed by a speech from the governor. After that, a special tribute will be paid to the corona warriors, including doctors, nurses, health workers, and other frontline workers.
