Raipur: In front of the Bank of Baroda near Tagore Nagar, Rs 10 lakh was picked up. The police swung into action due to the robbery incident in broad daylight. When the point of robbery came to the fore, the phones of the police stations started ringing. As soon as the news was received, the policemen were alerted and the force which was present in the police station was immediately deployed and blocked. The police immediately started the point wirelessly that four people on two bikes robbed a black colour bag and a brown colour bag containing Rs 10 lakh. He was wearing a white shirt, a white T-shirt and a checkered shirt.

Taking the information seriously, under the direction of senior officers, different teams of Raipur Police immediately put up blockade points in their respective police station areas to nab the persons. The senior superintendent of police and other police gazetted officers were themselves visiting the field to take stock of the blockade points. A total of more than 48 blockade points were installed in the district. The people involved in the incident were located at four places by the team of Raipur Police and were finally caught while working diligently.

In this three-hour robbery, the system was fine at some places, and somewhere the security pole was exposed. SP Prashant Agarwal got the robbery done on Friday evening. It was kept completely confidential. Its responsibility was given to the higher officials of the police department. For better work, SSP Prashant Agarwal rewarded Kotwali constable Niradhar Dhruv, Rajendra Yadu, Manoj Sawade from traffic, Ramesh Yadav from Khamtarai and Sudeep Mishra with cash.
