Raipur: COVID-19 lockdown relaxation with limited restrictions set to come into effect from May 25. The district administration on Monday permitted all shops to operate without any restrictions as the district reported a decline in Covid-19 case trajectory and positivity rate. However, the Collector stated that the night curfew will be levied. 

Raipur was under lockdown since 4 April after the district witnessed a sudden spike in its infection count. However,  hospitals in the last 15 days have reported a drop in their active count. 

Raipur Trade Market was permitted to operate on the Odd-Even Rule until Saturday. Following which citing the depreciation in its infection graph. The state’s administration directed the Collector to permit commercial stores to operate normally ahead of the lockdown completion on May 31. A fresh set of guidelines is scheduled to be released Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. 

Traders at Malviya Road, Sadar Bazar, Pandri, Gol Bazar were completely opened on Tuesday. Rajesh Vaswani of Malviya Road Traders Association directed all the traders to monitor the crowd and follow COVID norms.
