Raipur: Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur has scored second in the Good Governance assessment. As per the Ease of Living Index 2020 released by the Centre for Science and Environment(CSE), the fort is ranked the eight best cities to live across the nation.
Additionally, it is noted that the Bhupesh Baghel government has gained the second rank in Good Governance assessment. As per the report issued by the organization, Chhattisgarh has seen tremendous development under the Bagel’s governance. The state and district administration of Raipur have successfully implemented efficient schemes.
In one and half years, Baghel govt has got farmers highest price for paddy, made education free, brought schemes to fight malnutrition & announced a new industrial policy. The Baghel government hit the ground running, and has since coming to power systematically worked on issues of governance to improve the lives of people in the state.
Be it education, welfare, healthcare, tribals, the government has kept all in mind and worked towards ensuring a better livelihood for Chhattisgarh’s residents.
This appreciation by research and advocacy organisations comes amidst opposition’s attempt to degrade Bhupesh governance by issuing scathing comments.
Bhopal and Delhi have ranked first and fourth respectively by CSE. The Ease of Living Index has been determined based on quality of life, economic potential, sustainability and citizens’ perception.
