Raipur: Monsoon has again become active in Chhattisgarh as it has been raining continuously for the past two days in the Northern part of the state including capital Raipur, Durg, Balodabazar. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a fluctuation in rainfall, however, the conditions are likely to remain the same for the next two days.

Heavy rainfall is expected in Jashpur, Surajpur, and Balrampur districts. The Raipur Met Department predicted the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in many districts of the state.

Raipur Meteorological Center said that the monsoon activity in the monsoon trough is north of normal position, which means that the conditions are likely to remain the same for the next 6 to 7 days. Further, an upper air cyclone extending from 3.5 Km to 7.6 Km over West Uttar Pradesh extends the possibility of rain in the state accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Earlier on Thursday, Raipur witnessed a humid atmosphere throughout the day as it lightly rained in the evening. Balodabazar, Bastar, Bijapur, Dhamtri, Dhantewada, Bemetra, Durg, Kanker, Gariaband, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, and Sukma districts witness rainfall during the night, resulting in fall in temperatures.
