Raipur: Chhattisgarh reports high infection count owing to the second wave. Reportedly, Raipur becomes the first district in the state to cross one lakh infections overall. The state health bulletin reported 14,250 fresh infections in the past 24hours.

Along with the new tally Raipur crossed the 1 lakh mark. Around 120 deaths were reported, which took the death toll to 5,307. 1,336 deaths of the mortality count were reported from Raipur. 

Despite a lockdown imposed in 18 districts of the state, the transition rate of the state hasn’t shown much regression.

 Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uike spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and demanded that medical staff of the Central Para Military Force be sent. CM Bhupesh has convened an all-party meeting today (Thursday). The video conferencing will hold talks not efforts to control the spread and will postulate preventive measures.

The surge has reported a shortage of transport allowances of the death bodies. The hospital administrations have sort of multiple vehicles like goods trucks, waste vans etc to carry the bodies to the crematoria.

With this rise, the state has also registered illegal marketing of medicines. Two IAS officers have been deployed to Mumbai and Hyderabad to contact pharmaceuticals for continuous supply of Remdesivir to the state.
