Raipur: Gearing up against the possible third wave, authorities at the fort have made ramped up their health care system. The District health authorities have planned to set up a 400 bed COVID Care Centre and Hospital in the Indoor Stadium at Budhapara.
The stadium would first host nearly 200 beds that would function as the ICU for the centre. These beds would be provided with oxygen support and ventilators for unforeseen situations. Additionally, doctors and paramedical staff have been called in from Hyderabad for the dedicated COVID Care centre.
According to the study conducted by district health authorities, the fort is likely to expect the inception of the third wave by October end or November. Apart from setting up health systems, the authorities have also decided to set up a recreational environment for the kids that would aid in better recuperation. A lodging facility for the parents is also being established sources reported.
The state so far has successfully managed to treat 5000 patients in the dedicated COVID care centre’s established in indoor stadiums. As per the statistics given by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, currently, 307 active cases have been recorded in the state, while 9,91,306 recuperated overall.
