Chattisgarh: Rahul Sahu, the 11 year old boy who was rescued after a rigourous rescue operation of 105 hours is recovering, said CM Baghel through a tweet.

Taking to Twitter CM Baghel wrote- Rahul Sahu, who was undergoing treatment at Apollo Bilaspur, is now completely fine. He is eating well and walking, will soon run too. CM Baghel has wished for a bright future for Rahul.

Rahul was rescued from an abandoned well in the backyard of his house in Pihrid village in Malkharoda development block of the district on June 10 at around 2 pm. Through a green corridor he was sent to Apollo Bilaspur as soon as he was rescued.

NDRF personnel, Army, SDRF, local civil administration, police, public relations, mining department were deployed alonh wit individuals who helped in arranging machineries, cameras, lights, and other materials.

Notably, it was one of the longest bore well rescue operations in the country as the team had to face many challenges during the task. As Rahul was not responding, it was difficult to know the situation down there. And the rocky terrain made it difficult for the team to reach him. However, braving all the difficulties and obstacles, the team finally managed to rescue Rahul after nearly five days.
