Raipur: Rahul Gandhi today reached among the farmers in Kathia village near Nava Raipur, where he harvested paddy in the fields with the farmers. Rahul said that if farmers are happy then India is happy. He enumerated the 5 best works of the Congress government for the farmers of Chhattisgarh which have benefitted the farmers the most. Rahul Gandhi says that this model of Chhattisgarh will be replicated all over India.

“We will play again: Will buy 20 quintals/acre of paddy. Farmers’ loans will be waived off again. We did it: Paddy milla Rs. 2640/quintal, input subsidy of Rs 23000 crore to 26 lakh farmers, loan of 19 lakh farmers Rs 10000 crores waived off, half the electricity bill, and 5 lakh agricultural laborers Rs 7000/year”, wrote CM Baghel on X.

Further, the Congress leader pledged comprehensive reforms in the state including; free education from KG to PG, offers Rs 4,000 for ‘tendu’ leaf collectors, and committed to conducting a caste census. Gandhi slams BJP for neglecting farmer loan waivers while allegedly favoring Adani. Promising inclusive policies, he aims to prioritize education and uplift marginalized communities in the poll-bound state. Gandhi’s initiatives aim to address socio-economic disparities, criticizing the incumbent party’s policies. This marks a significant move ahead of the elections, focusing on education accessibility, economic support, and advocating for a caste census to empower the underprivileged.
