Raipur: The President of India, Draupadi Murmu, is planning to officially tour Chhattisgarh on 25-26 October 2024.
In this visit, she will mainly stress the feedback of the Prime Minister’s Janman Scheme and will also give the most importance to the tribal aspects and developments in the area.
President Murmu will go to the tribal region of Nawa Raipur, where she wants to interact with the tribes and know about their ordeal during and after the various launched schemes intended for the tribes. Besides, she will publish tribal culture-based books, which will ensure that the heritage of this community is passed on to the next generation.

There are numerous events lined up for President Murmu’s engagement on the 25th of October. She is scheduled to arrive at Raipur Airport at 11:00 AM and will proceed straight to the second Convocation Ceremony at AIIMS Raipur, which is scheduled at 11:30 PM. Following this event, she will leave AIIMS at 1:00 PM to visit Raj Bhavan.
After spending some time at the Raj Bhavan, the President will attend the 14th convocation ceremony at NIT Raipur at 3:00 PM. Later in the day, she will meet local tribal leaders at Purkhauti Muktangan in Nawa Raipur at 4:30 PM. President Murmu will return to the Raj Bhavan at 6:00 PM for an overnight stay.
Indeed, the next day October 26, is also expected to be full of eventful activities. The President will tour Vivekananda Sarovar in Raipur at 9:00 AM, departing for Bhilai at 10:00 AM. Upon her arrival, she will participate in the fourth convocation ceremony at IIT Bhilai at 11:00 AM.
She will also attend the third convocation ceremony at Pt randomly at Raipur after this engagement. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Medical and Ayush University at 1:30 PM.
President Murmu will conclude her visit by departing from Raipur Airport to Delhi at 5:00 PM. This visit is evidence of her determination to get a grip on the welfare of the tribes.
