New Delhi: A gang in Deobhog, Manipur has been misusing the Aadhar card and bank account and deceiving credulous people since December. Farmers of Janjgir-Champa district; who do not possess agricultural lands have registered under the PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana.
PM Modi launched a 12,000-year annual plan in district Janjgir-Champa in December 2020. Agents have been demanding Aadhar card and passbooks for registering them under the scheme. A nominal fee of Rs300 is charged for inclusion in the scheme. More than 300 people were registered under the scheme.
However, the scheme is to meet only 6,000 annually, with first instalment already received by the registered candidates.
Nodal Officer Agriculture Deputy Operator FR Kashyap said that there is no information about such disturbances, it is not possible to join the scheme without acreage and measles, if the farmer is mentioned there, it is not possible without the connivance of the departmental operator. Appropriate guidance will be taken for action by informing the collector.
