The police on Wednesday registered 14 cases under the Excise Act and arrested 13 for illegal liquor trade during the raid. They had engaged in illicit alcohol manufacture, storage, distribution, and security to public health and law and order.

This process is part of a widespread effort to stop the illegal sale of liquor, particularly with municipal elections approaching and authorities wishing to avoid any unlawful influence in the sale of liquor. It is pledged by the police, along with the excise department, to keep strict vigil while taking prompt action against the offenders.

The task force officials have been assuring that the crackdown on the production and distribution of illicit liquor will continue in the coming days. To wipe out illegal liquor networks from the region, plans are being made to carry out regular inspections, surprise raids, and intelligence base operations. In addition, the authorities have called on the people to report any suspicious activity pertaining to illicit alcohol to them to ensure that there is no breach of law and order.

It is a very strict action taken against the illegal liquor trade, as it will be an important manifestation of ensuring a free and fair election as well as saving public health and safety.
