Chhattisgarh: The Durg police have been recovering weapons from buyers of e-commerce firms that sell online. It is observed that several minor residents of the state have been ordering weapons like sharp knives, pistol lighters and airguns from e-commerce portals.

So far, the Durg Police officials have extracted 83 weapons. They have also alerted the neighbouring police station and outpost areas of the district to keep a watch. 

The Superintendent of Police Prashant Agarwal seized the artillery on receiving tips from sources. Nearly 70 knives, 1 axe, 1 dagger, 8 pistols and 2 airguns have been deposited by owners at the respective police stations. 

The authorities convened with the heads of e-commerce portals like Flipkart, Amazon, Blue Dart Exp, the local office heads of Myntra & Shadow fox, Xpress bees, Delhivery, FedEx, DTDC at the Bhilai control room. 

So far, only Flipkart, Ecom Express PVT.Ltd, Delhivery, and FedEx have provided information on shipping addresses and products sent.
