Bilaspur: Police personnel posted at Khamtarai police station in Bilaspur district have taken action against the widening smuggling rackets in the state capital.
During an operation, the personnel has arrested 3 hemp suppliers along with 20 kilos of hemp. The officials of the police station have been investigating the matter and have filed a case against the 3 accused suppliers under the NDPS Act.
Police personnel posted in Khamtarai police station, namely Sanjay Pundhir, sub-inspector Kamal Narayan Sharma, sub-inspector Ajay Jha, assistant sub-inspector Varun Devta, along with other security personnel and the witness, led a successful raid at Banjari Nagar, Rawatbhata, near the city of Banda, on the information of the informant.
They arrested the three accused Aman Pita AKA Abdul Nizam (49), Shailu Nivasi AKA Lala Pita Pawan Tiwari (21), and Pahlad Sahu AKA Bhagat Pita Dayalu Sahu (27), and seized 20 kilos of hemp.
The estimated price of the seized hemp is around Rs. 2,00,000 lakh. Police have filed a case against the 3 accused suppliers under the NDPS Act.
