Bijapur: Villagers of hundreds of villages have mobilized to protest against the road and police camp in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Apart from this, after the judicial inquiry report of the Adsameta incident, the protest of the villagers intensified, demanding to tell it in front of the family members and take action against the culprits. For the last two days, villagers have been conducting agitations in Gangalur, a remote Naxal-affected area of ​​the district. The agitating villagers said that in all the massacres in Bastar including Adsmeta, the government should give compensation.

Villagers have said that security forces camp and CC road are proposed in Pusnar, Mankeli. If the camp opens here and the road is built, the police will enter every village. Calling innocent villagers as Naxalites, they will either kill them or will arrest them and put them in jail. The villagers said that we do not want both a road and a police camp in the area. There have also been demands from the district administration several times for not building a police camp and road here, but we have not heard any till now.

Hundreds of villagers from nearby villages including Pusnar, Mankeli, Ganglur have reached to join the movement in Gangalur with ration and utensils. They have also taken out a rally with slogans. Villagers have also brought ration material and utensils with them. It is being told that, like Silger, now the villagers are also planning to camp in Bangalore till their demands are not met. Villagers’ agitation continues on Sunday as well.
