Kondagaon: A police force successfully used an all-out operation against the Naxalites for the first time in Kondagaon, Chhattisgarh. Based on the information received from informant sources, police and personnel for assault prepared to advance towards the identified Naxalite camps. These forces were chased by the local police, who got information about their presence from the people. When the Naxalites sensed the presence of the police forces, they feared to engage in confrontation and fled the scene, leaving behind explosive materials.
The Dantewada police have not been resting, as there have been reports that the Kondagaon police have been active in an anti-Naxalism drive. The people provided information about the Naxals having camps in the villages of Usli, Jabkasa, Adenga, Duval and the vicinity. When the police team advanced nearer to the Naxal camps, the insurgents angrily escaped from the spot, abandoning their equipment and necessary items.
Police Seize Explosives
They recovered explosives and daily use items from the abandoned Naxal camps during the operation, Choudhary added. These comprised pressure cookers, ammonium nitrate, male and female electronic plugs, IED switches, and arrow bombs, amongst other explosive items. This massive seizure proves the level of preparation among the Naxalites and the threat they posed to the area to a certain degree.
The reaction and the actions of the Kondagaon police foiled the Naxalites, leaving them behind their main plans. This effect not only cuts off resources from the insurgents but also conveys to the constituents of the OFB the authorities’ commitment towards eradicating Naxalite menace.

Ongoing operations by the force against Naxals in Kondagaon are a continuation of a dose of actions to dismantle the insurgents’ influence in the region. Sustaining intelligence collection and using it with pinpointed operations, the police endeavour to dismantle the Naxalite structures and bring law and order to the disrupted regions.
This operation is the most recent one among the Kondagaon forces, which shows their hard work and timely performance. These relentless actions have cut short the operations of the Naxalites and limited them by hitting them where it hurts most, that is, their capacity to launch attacks.
