Kanker: The cowardly act of Naxalites has once again come to the fore in the Koylibeda area of the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. The Naxalites had planted IED bombs in the forests of village Katgaon to harm the security forces. The IED was blasted when an unclaimed dog came in the grip of an IED bomb planted by the Naxalites. When the BSF personnel went out for a search, the body of the dog was also found at the IED bomb blast site. BSF jawans searched the surroundings in which a live pipe bomb was also recovered.

Naxalites are continuously registering their presence in various areas of the district and are constantly trying to carry out any major incident. The Naxalites had planted an IED bomb with the intention of harming the police and security forces in the Dhur Naxal-affected Katgaon forest of Koylibeda block of the district. The dog was killed in the explosion that took place. On Saturday, BSF personnel went out for a Naxal patrol search. During the search, the Naxalites reached the spot in the forest of Katgaon. After which the BSF jawans, taking precautions, searched the surrounding area from where they recovered a live pipe bomb. It is feared that due to the dog’s foot, both the bombs connected to a circuit may have exploded simultaneously.
