Raipur: A pillar fell on Shalimar Express near Urkura railway station, due to which many passengers traveling in the train were also injured. GRP and RPF staff along with railway officials have arrived to investigate the incident.
While passing through Urkura railway station before Raipur, a pillar fell on the AC coach of this train due to which the window glass broke and a young man’s hand was cut. A minor present in the coach also suffered eye injuries.
The cause of the pillar’s collapse is currently under investigation. According to initial reports, several passengers traveling on the train sustained injuries.
The extent of the injuries and the number of passengers affected remain unclear. Emergency services have reached the scene to provide medical attention to the injured and ensure the safety of all passengers.
