Raipur: Along with the country, the effect of the cold waves is also being seen in Chhattisgarh and it is getting cold. On the instructions of CM Bhupesh Baghel, the administrative staff is actively engaged to save the people from cold and cold waves. Collectors of the districts are also taking stock of the arrangements by reaching the square-squares and public places at night. The social welfare department is ensuring the arrangement of bonfires during the night in public places, especially in squares, railway stations, bus stands, passenger waiting rooms, etc. Similarly, warm clothes and blankets etc. are being distributed to the destitute and needy people with the help of volunteers, social organizations, donors.
In night shelters, old age homes and shelter homes, additional arrangements are being made to protect the elderly, differently-abled and children from the cold by providing sweaters, shawls, monkey caps, mufflers, socks, blankets, heaters and making rooms safe from cold. Blankets and warm clothes are being given to the needy destitute, deranged people in public places. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to the collectors to take necessary measures and take special vigilance in the districts for the needy in view of the outbreak of severe cold and cold waves in the state of Chhattisgarh for a few days. The Chief Minister has said that due to the outbreak of the cold wave, special care should be taken that the needy should not face any kind of problem. Along with this, the advisory has been issued by the Disaster Management Department to the general public to avoid the outbreak of cold waves in different parts of the state.
