RAIPUR: Responding to a question thrown in regard to the security of BJP leaders in the state, CM Baghel highlighted that all the leaders in his state especially in the Naxal-dominated areas have z plus security. He mentioned that the DGP Bastar division is instructed to convene with all BJP leaders in the district and update them on their requirements in terms of security.

In response to this statement, former minister Brijmohan Agarwal launched an attack on the Baghel govt. He claimed the attacks were conspired and demanded an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore each for the 3 BJP leaders who were killed by Naxalites over the past week. According to Brijmohan, the attacks were a result of negligence by the security forces provided by the Baghel govt to their leaders.

Three BJP leaders have been murdered by Naxals in the past seven days. The recent victim was Ramdhar Alami, 43, a former Sarpanch of Hitameta from 2015 to 2020. The Maoists left behind a letter alleging Alami was a police informer and was involved in the Bodhghat dam project said the police.
