Chhattisgarh: A day after the state health minister visited the Hasdeao Arand area in support of locals who are opposing coal mining, CM Baghel on Tuesday said if the health minister does not want trees to be cut for coal mine projects in Hasdeao then not a single branch will be chopped. Singhdeo had announced that he would take the first bullet or blow from a stick if protestors are subjected to physical assault.
He further went on to say that he would go to the national capital and apprise Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi of the ‘pain and demands’ of the protestors.
The Health Minister had visited his constituency Ambikapur which will be affected by the Parsa Mine and Parsa East Besan phase II mine coal project for which the state govt had recently granted approval for the felling of trees to progress the mining project.
