Chhattisgarh: After as many as 15 deaths occurred in various Quarantine centers, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed the officials to ensure that none of the people living in quarantine centers of the state face any inconvenience.
“Proper arrangements of accommodation, food, drinking water, health checkup, entertainments and all the necessary facilities should be made available.” he said
He has also directed the Principal Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department to do regular monitoring of these arrangements at quarantine centers. Notably, there are at least 19,374 quarantine centers built for prevention of corona pandemic in the state with nearly 2,23,150 people currently residing in these quarantine centers.
Baghel on Thursday said that nodal officers should be appointed for monitoring of quarantine centers across the state.
According to the press release statement, Each quarantine centre will have an in-charge officer to monitor the availability of basic facilities including health check-up and corona diagnosis test. The in-charge officers will be responsible for ensuring compliance of guidelines for operating the facilities.
In view of pregnant women and infants, Bhupesh baghel have instructed official to take extra cautious as there have been 3 deaths of conceived women reported from different quarantine center all across the state. Timely checkup and vaccination of pregnant women and children must be ensured.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh has reported over 680 confirmed cases of coronavirus and as many as 2 deaths have been recorded in the state.
