New Delhi: The search operation that began by NIA on Tuesday is still underway, said, officials. As per the information received the raid was conducted at three locations in Andhra Pradesh that hinted connection with the Naxal and security forces encounter in CG last year.
As per reports, a handwritten diary and documents have been retrieved during the search in Vijaywada and Prakasham districts. These diaries belonging to Akkiraju Hargopal Alias RK gave detailed information on the urban funding the Naxals would receive in the form of ammunitions, arms and cash.
Apart from this, the anti-terror agency also seized digital devices and incriminating documents including posters, banners, Naxal literature, and pamphlets.
The encounter case is related to the death of a civilian and 6 Naxals who were killed in an ambush between the Maoists and the security forces. A case was registered initially at Nagarnar police station in CG and was re-registered by the NIA on March 18 last year.
