Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government on Thursday issued new travel guidelines for travellers coming to the state as part of preventive measures to contain the spread of coronavirus. 

As per the guidelines, the RT-PCR reports have been swapped with Vaccination documents. It is mandated for all passengers travelling to Chhattisgarh to present their record of immunization. The RT-PCR test report period has been shifted from 72 hours to 96 hours. 

Department of General Administration, Secretary, Dr Kamalpreet Singh issued the order applicable from today, stating,” Some amendments are being made to the order issued on April 28 to prevent the infection.  Now, the mandatory negative report of RT-PCR checks at the time of boarding from other States is nullified for flyers. A negative RT-PCR report of 96 hours or vaccination certificate is mandated to enter the state.”

 For those who do not have a COVID negative test report, arrangements have been made for health check-ups and Covid test examinations. Such passengers will have to quarantine at home until the reports are delivered and wait for further instructions. 

All the Divisional Commissioners, Inspectors General of Police, Collectors, and Superintendents of Police have been directed to ensure Covid Test for passengers arriving in Chhattisgarh through any means of transport.
