SUKMA: Two trucks were torched in CGs Ittapara area, Sukma district said Sukma SP.
The incident took place on Monday, under the Phulbagdi police station limits he added. On receiving the information, DRG forces immediately rushed to the spot.
As per the sources, three laborers were rescued safely from the torched vehicles.
The attack comes days after a major IED blast that took place in Aranpur that killed 10 DRG jawans and one civilian.
Earlier on Sunday, three Maoists, including two women, were arrested. The accused were allegedly involved in offenses like triggering improvised explosive device (IED) blasts in the jungles of Tekanar and Hikapulla said officials. The arrest sought in Narayanpur district was made during an operation conducted by a joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG), the district police, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
