Bijapur: In the Naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh, the soldiers are getting continuous success against the red terror. The Naxalites, who are frustrated by the action of the soldiers, are committing cowardly acts. Meanwhile, Naxals have killed an innocent villager in Bijapur district. The Maoists have accused the villager of being a police informer and killed him with a sharp weapon.
This case is of Poshanpalli village of Bhopalpatnam police station area. According to the information, the deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Kanhaiya Tati, son of Hunga Tati. After the murder, the Naxalites threw the body near the Dubbapara Poshanpalli old school. A pamphlet of the Naxalites was also found near the villager’s body at the incident site. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and after registering a case, sent the body for post-mortem. The police has started investigation in connection with the incident.
194 Naxals Neutralized, 801 Arrested Since January
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that 194 Naxals were neutralized, 801 arrested and 742 surrendered in Chhattisgarh since January.
While chairing a review meeting with chief ministers of Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected states in the capital, the minister appealed to the Naxals to lay down their arms and join the mainstream.
Earlier on Saturday, About 1,500 security personnel covered this arduous route as part of their 48-hour operation in the forest along Narayanpur and Dantewada districts border to inflict a crushing blow to Maoists, said officials.
