Chattisgarh: The Naxals in Chattisgarh’s Gariaband blocked the National highway 130C between Dhurvagudi-Budgetappa by felling trees. Sources claim to have discovered banners from the spot calling for a bandh today.
On receiving the information, police officials rushed to the spot to take account of the situation. As per primary investigations, it is learnt that the Naxals brought down the trees on Friday night. Additional SP of Police Chandresh Thakur confirmed the incident.
The banners discovered on the spot alert about the protest in Gariaband, Dhamtari, Kondagaon and Mahasamund. They also demanded the closure of police camps in the vicinity of their camps.
Meanwhile, Baghel who is in Bijapur today said that majority of the state districts were free from Naxal terror. I’m ready to come anywhere to talk only if they have faith in the Indian constitution,” said the CM responding to a question on dialogue with the Naxals.
