Sukma: The recent news that the Jawans encountered the Naxalites on Monday morning is now marked as a false encounter by the Naxalites. This encounter took place in the Bhejji area near Danteshpuram. The Naxalites have said that the encounter reports are fake.
In a shocking turn of events, Naxalites have accused the police of unlawful killings under the guise of encounters. Ganga, the South Bastar Divisional Committee Secretary of the Naxalites, has released a press note claiming that the police took two men from their homes and killed them without any provocation.
Interestingly, the Naxals have acknowledged that both the deceased were former members of their organization who had left a month ago to lead a peaceful life in the village. This incident has again brought to light the ongoing conflict between the Naxals and the police in Sukma.
The Commander, along with a female Naxalite, was reportedly killed in this encounter and was carrying eight lakhs and three lakhs worth of bounty. After the incident, the search operation helped the Police to recover guns, ammunition, and much more.
