Kanker: Hours before the Prime Minister’s scheduled public meeting in Kanker, Naxalites have killed three villagers in Kanker district and one in Bijapur. On receiving information about the incident, police force reached the spot and a search operation is going on in the surrounding area to ensure security arrangements.
Naxalites have killed three villagers on suspicion of being police informers in Chhotabethiya police station area of Kanker district. It is being reported that four days ago Naxalites had taken away the villagers from their homes.
After the incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the bodies of the three were found near Murkhondi village. The villagers have reached the police station with the dead body. Among the killed villagers, Kulle Katlami, 35 years, Manoj Kovachi, 22 years, Dugge Kovachi, 27 years, all the deceased are residents of Morakhandi, Tehsil Pakhanjur. Police are investigating the matter.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in Raipur, the state capital at 12:55 PM. Upon reaching Raipur, he proceeded towards the Kanker district to address a gathering of people.
