Bijapur: Naxalites created a ruckus in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday night. Recently, 3 vehicles installed in the open ballast crusher plant were set ablaze by the Naxalites. It is being told that more than 12 Naxalites have carried out the incident. However, no harm has been caused to the workers present here. The incident has been confirmed by SP Kamlochan Kashyap. The matter is of the Aavapalli police station area.
According to the information, all the workers of the crusher plant of Murdonda adjoining Aavapalli in the district were sitting after having food between 9 and 10 pm. Meanwhile, more than 12 Naxalites in rural costumes arrived from the forest side, who first gathered all the labourers. Then a JCB, Hiva and camper’s diesel tank set on fire broke out here. The Maoists have also asked for the closure of the plant. After carrying out the incident, the Maoists went back to the forest.
The Naxalites had kidnapped Kursam Ramesh, a former sarpanch of Borrabonda village in Telangana’s Mulugu district, 2-3 days ago, who was sentenced to death on suspicion of being a police informer. After killing them, the Maoists dumped the body of the former sarpanch on the unpaved road in Kotpalli village of Naxal-affected Usoor block of Bijapur district. The family members of the former sarpanch and the police reached the spot as soon as the matter was reported. After which the dead body was taken to the village.
