Durg: DGP of CG, Ashok Juneja interacting with the media in the Durg district today assured an end to the Naxal terror in the state. Juneja was in Durg for attending the convocation ceremony organized by CISF.
He asserted that the state police forces under the guidance of the Baghel govt have begun to hold interstate talks to cease Naxal terror in the state. According to Juneja, Naxals from MP, Telangana, AP, Maharashtra, Orissa, Jharkand and UP have infiltrated Chattisgarh. He also pressed on the strengthening of camps established in the bordering regions.
Joint forces of CG along with the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and CG Govt have been regularly conducting operations to nab the Naxals. The state govt has also launched rehabilitation drives under which several Naxal returned to normal life. With the Bhent Mulakat event going on in the state, the Naxals have agreed to CM Baghel’s invitation to have a discourse and bring peace to state.
