Raipur: Once again, police in the Naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh have again made tremendous progress in encounters with Naxals since morning. Carrying out the surgical strikes, the jawans have gunned down 7 Naxalites, but at the same time, 5 Naxalites have been nabbed alive from the spot. Thus, apart from the Naxalites, three weapons, which are six in total, have also been recovered. As per the information, this encounter has been happening since morning at the boundary areas of Narayanpur, Bijapur, and Dantewada districts.
According to sources in the security forces, the troops found the remains of 7 dead Naxalites and detained 5 other Naxalities on the site of the meeting. It has also been established that search operations are being conducted in the neighboring regions.
This is a major jolt for Naxals as Farooq was a prominent figure in the area. The continuing operations illustrate the continuous military operations that are being directed toward addressing Naxal concerns and reinstating law and order within the affected areas. The satisfaction gained due to the recovery of the weapons and apprehension of the Naxal operatives adds more to the accomplishment of the scenario.
Naxal-influenced areas in Chhattisgarh, particularly the districts of Narayanpur, Bijapur, and Dantewada, have had incidences of Naxal violence and insurgency. The security forces have carried out operations that aim at containing the Naxals and protecting the citizens from the menace.
The achievement of these security forces to successfully eliminate Naxalites and recover weapons is a demonstration of their resolve to wipe out the menace of Naxalism in the area.
