Chhattisgarh: Martyr Jawan’s to be paid a Guard of Honour at the Protection centre in Kumarpara on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Naxals blew up a bus full of DRG Jawan’s by detonating IED in Kadnar, about 40 km away from the district. The explosion blew the bus about 30 feet in the air and hit the high-tension wire and collapsed. The blast reported 5 deaths, and 12 injured, out of these 3 are in serious condition and 7 are being treated at Raipur.
DGP DM Awasthi and DG Naxal Operation Ashok Junja departed to Narayanpur in a BSF helicopter. Meanwhile, the helicopter made an emergency landing in Raipur due to a technical snag after take-off. Though they were expected to arrive, now it is conjectured that they might not be able to commemorate the tribute.
However, the DGP and DG will convene a meeting on further steps and also visit the blast site
Due to the delay in the DGP and DG’s arrival, local police officials will honour the martyrs and send their bodies to their respective villages.
The following were the martyrs:
1.Pradhan Constable Pawan Mandaviya from Gram Bookagaon
2.Chief Constable Jaylal Uikayan, from Village Kasavahi
3.Arshak Sevak Salam, from Kanker
