Raipur: With crucial state elections scheduled across several states, pre-poll surveys have begun appearing in the media. The State Election Commission has announced to hold elections in 15 bodies in the state.

A meeting of respective authorities has been called on November 12th to chalk out polling strategies. The elections have to been decided to be held in four municipal corporations and five municipalities.

Earlier on Sunday, PCC Chief Mohan Markam reached Durg and took stock of the preparations being made for the meeting. A meeting of the State Congress Committee has been called in Durg on November 10 where Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, state in-charge PL Punia and district presidents of 34 will have a dialogue over the upcoming local elections. Sources report that a list of officer who succumbed has also been made based on which sub-body elections are being planned. The PCC Chief also discussed about the meeting of the State Congress Executive to the office bearers and thepreparations for the upcoming civic elections in Bhilai Corporation, Risali Corporation, Bhilai-3 Charoda Corporation, Birgaon Corporation and Municipal Council Jamul. MLA Arun Vora, State Congress General Secretary Rajendra Sahu, City Congress President Gaya Patel, RN Verma, Professional Congress State President Kshitij Chandrakar, Mayor Dheeraj Bakliwal, Bhilai City Congress President Mukesh Chandrakar, Block Congress President Altaf Ahmed were few of them who attended the meeting.
