Raipur: The monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh legislative assembly will begin on July 26, informed an Assembly official, Friday. The session will span for five days keeping in mind the recession of the pandemic. 

 As per the official notification, the eight-session of the Chhattisgarh legislative Assembly will begin on July 26 and conclude on July 30. 

 As the session will be held amid the coronavirus crisis, all MLAs, and ministers will have to follow COVID behaviour. The seating arrangements for members of the Assembly have been altered to comply with the COVID-19 safety protocols.

 There will be Question Hour on all four days, along with works pertaining to financial and government affairs, the notification stated.

It is also reported that the opposition party, BJP has also started its preparation for the monsoon session. Tentatively it is reported to commence from August 25.  

Earlier the Budget Session of the Chhattisgarh State Assembly was adjourned as several MLA’s tested positive for the novel virus. 

In the year 2020, the session had commenced on August 25 which spanned for 4 days.

The Monsoon Session of the Indian Parliament is the period during which a House meets almost every day uninterruptedly to manage the business. There are typically three sessions in a year. A session contains many meetings. The process of calling all members of the Parliament to meet is called Summoning of Parliament. In this session, all matters pertaining to public interest are discussed.
