Raigarh, Chhattisgarh: A case of molestation of a minor has come to light in the Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. The girl informed the police that when she got up in the morning and came out of her house, a young man reached there and started touching her forcefully without her consent. He started tinkering with her and then molested her continuously. A complaint was made to the police, and the accused has been arrested by them. The incident occurred at Raigarh’s Kotwali police station area.
The survivor complained about this matter to the police later on Sunday. She told that on Sunday morning when she woke up and was going outside for littering, the accused man Shani Chauhan reached there and started talking dirty. “It was 4 in the morning. That’s why no one was outside the house. Shani was forcibly touching and molesting my hands and feet”, said the girl.
Even on protesting, he kept on molesting her again and again. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against the accused and started an investigation. He was then arrested within a few hours. After his arrest, he was interrogated, during which he also confessed to his crime. At present, action is being taken against the accused in the case alongside further investigations.
