Raipur: The process of preparing the budget for the year 2026-27 in Chhattisgarh has reached a decisive stage. Ministerial-level budget discussions will begin today at Mahanadi Bhawan, Mantralaya, and will continue until January 9th. The timing for discussions regarding Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai’s departments has not yet been finalized.

On January 6th, new proposals from Industry, Excise, and Labor Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan will be discussed and approved at 11 a.m.; Health, Medical Education, and OBC Welfare Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal at 12 p.m.; Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts Minister Rajesh Agrawal at 2 p.m.; and Skill Development, Technical Education, and SC Welfare Minister Guru Khushwant at 3 p.m.

On January 7th, Forest, Transport, Cooperation, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kedar Kashyap will decide on proposals from their departments at 11 a.m.; Revenue, School Education, and Higher Education Minister Tankaram Verma at 12 p.m.; Ajak Welfare, Agriculture, and Fisheries and Livestock Minister Ramvichar Netam at 2:30 p.m.; and Finance Minister OP Chaudhary at 4 p.m.

On January 8th, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sawh’s proposals from the Public Works Department, Public Health Engineering, Sports and Youth Welfare, and Urban Administration departments will be discussed at 11 a.m.; and proposals from the School Education, Village Industries, and Legislative Affairs departments will be presented at 2:30 p.m.

On January 9, new proposals from Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Laxmi Rajwade will be approved at 12 noon, and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma’s Home, Panchayat and Rural Development, and IT departments will be approved at 2 pm. Discussions on proposals related to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai’s departments will be scheduled separately.
