Raipur: Medical experts of the state health department of Chhattisgarh, through a press release, warned everyone to stay alert and keep following all the COVID-19 norms even after getting vaccinated. Because a recent survey has revealed that the death rate has not slowed down, though the daily case surge has reduced. Now, despite the vaccination, people might not be completely safe from the highly contagious virus.

Earlier, another press release by the Chhattisgarh Health Department announced that the inoculation drive against the COVID-19 virus has started in Chhattisgarh. The press release added that around 2.67 lakh healthcare workers would be vaccinated throughout the first phase of the drive.

Dr. O.P. Sundarani, a doctor working at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, stated – “COVID infection period has still not ended and fresh COVID cases are being reported daily and also the deadly virus is taking lives”. Sudarani asserted that a person needs to wear a mask properly, use sanitizer and follow all other COVID-19 protocols irrespective of whether he/she has been vaccinated or not. In short, covid-appropriate behavior is the responsibility of every citizen.

Also, multiple researches revealed that the human body takes 14-15 days after taking the 2nd dose of the vaccine to formulate the necessary immunity against SARS-CoV-2. Therefore, one should unfailingly follow all the protocols of COVID-19, even after getting inoculated.
