Raipur: The people of Chhattisgarh participated in a “Run for CG pride” marathon (Daud Swabhimaan Aur Garv Ki) today organized to commemorate the leadership of Bhupesh Baghel as the CM of the state. The marathon was flagged by the CM himself at 6:30 am from Gandhi  Udhyan in Raipur.

The marathon categorized under male and female recorded a humongous crowd aged between 14 years to 60 years. This 5km marathon will pass through different routes to return to Bhagat Singh Chowk. The pitstops in the race are prescribed at Jaistambh Chowk, Kotwali Chowk, PWD Chowk, Income Tax colony Tirhara and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk.

The organizers have announced a cash prize of Rs 21,000 for the winner in the Men and Women category. while the two runners up will be awarded Rs 15,000 and Rs 11,000 respectively. Nevertheless, a cash prize has will also be awarded to those who finish fourth or tenth. The Senior and Children category winner would get Rs 11,000 while the runner up would be awarded Rs 7,000 and the third position is prized Rs 5,000.

CM Baghel took over the reins of the state authorities on December 17 three years ago. With the effective implementation of its welfare schemes and new initiatives in every prospect of the state, the state govt introduced the ‘Chhattisgarh model’ which brought the state a huge stance.
