Bastar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been on a two-day visit to Bastar to attend the 2nd Raising Day Programme of the CRPF. Upset about his visit to Bastar, Maoists torched 84 vehicles in the last 10 days.

Earlier on Thursday, Maoists were planning to carry out a major incident in Sukma. However, the force chased the Maoists before they could do anything. Maoists have released a video opposing the visit of Amit Shah. After this, the police force has been alerted in the entire Bastar.

Spokesperson of the South Sub Zonal Bureau of the Maoists, Samata issued a press note that read, “Amit Shah is coming to Bastar to make a strategy to bomb with drones and helicopters”. The note also read about the killing of the Union minister. Samata has asked to protest strongly in every village.

On March 23, just a day before Amit Shah’s visit to Bastar, naxals from Konta Area Committee reached near Kottlelendra to carry out a major incident. More than 60 maoists reached in Errabor Police Station through the forest to mark their way to National Highway 30.  The Maoists opened firing as soon as the force rushed to the spot.
